Paintings by Brooklyn-based artist and illustrator (New York Times, LA Times) Lauren Simkin Berke. When I came across Lauren’s work at the Affordable Art Fair (she was showing with Accola Griefen Gallery) I could tell she had her own thing going on – a photographic lens focused on mundane moments and a very loose, quirky style that comes off as a bit melancholic. Among other things she has a fantastic eye for composition and knows just the right details to highlight.

I love her work! She also sells some really cool paintings on skateboard decks in her Etsy shop called Dapperdecks.
